Oregano is a warm and richly fragrant oil with a rich licorice hinted green aroma. It is made from steam distilling the fresh herb.

Oregano makes a great cleaning and diffusing oil because it has been found to kill a wide range of microorganisms, bacteria, and viruses. I add it to my countertop cleaner and use it in a diffuser regularly during cold and flu season for extra immune system support.

Oregano may cause skin irritation. Oregano is a "hot" oil that should never be used undiluted on the skin. It is also a high risk for causing a sensitization reaction and this risk is increased when it is used undiluted.
