Turmeric is a warm and spicy oil that is very much like the kitchen spice. The essential oil has that same earthiness as the spice, with a little more of a green coriander edge and less of the curry spiciness.

Turmeric makes a great base note and gives blends a deep earthy spiciness. It works well with other culinary essential oils such as ginger, clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg, as well as clary sage and muhuhu (African Sandalwood).
