Citronella Essential Oil is very commonly used in commercial insect repellents and its scent is a familiar lemon hinted aroma.

It can be used to make an insect deterrent blend or used in a diffuser as a deterrent. I also like to use Citronella as a drain refresher and around my compost pail in the kitchen. It makes a great addition to any countertop cleaning blend that I make.
